Ho Ho Ho Holidays

We got snow yesterday on Halloween and the ground is still covered today although the roads have become bare again. I'm not a fan of snow, cold, or slippery roads, but even I can admit that when I awoke yesterday morning and opened the blind, the view I got was right out of a storybook winter wonderland. Snow covered every leaf bare branch of every tree, the ground was covered with pure white, glistening snow, and I couldn't help but smile. It's funny, but one day of snow put me into a holiday mood, and today I found myself thinking about starting my Christmas shopping. I love the holidays. I love baking goodies I only make at Christmas, I love buying gifts for those I love, I love the feeling of sipping hot chocolate from a cute holiday mug, the shimmer of the tree lights, the old holiday favorites playing on the radio.
