According to statisticbrain.com, consumers annually spend 7 billion dollars on Halloween, with the average amount per person being $72. I can certainly believe this as even though I no longer go to Halloween parties and dress up, I spend a lot on candy and home decor Halloween items and outdoor decorations.
According to the same site's statistics, who celebrates Halloween? 68.5% of people, that's who! And it seems the adult age group that celebrates Halloween the most is those from 18-24 years old at 85.3%. It is also interesting to note that consumer spending for Halloween has risen each year from 2009 to present.
So if Halloween is one of your favorite holidays or the favorite holiday of all in your book, you probably spend your fair share on decorating the house, on candy, on Halloween clothing, parties and party invites. Now is a great time to save!
